Today was an amazing day at Southview! We kicked off with our “Black Out “ ACAP pep rally and celebrated our incredible achievement of moving from a D to a B in just one school year. A big thank you to our central office and board member Grant for their ongoing support. Huge thanks to Mr. Mahan for the fantastic barbecue “The train” always delivers! We’re also grateful to Barbara Long, the best CNP manager, and her team for the delicious sides and ensuring everything ran smoothly. It’s safe to say both our students and staff had an unforgettable day. A huge shoutout to our parents who volunteered for duty-free lunch your support means the world to us. Let’s crush this test!
Thursday, February 13th was an incredible honor as we stood in Montgomery, celebrating our school's recognition as one of the Top 25 Improved Schools. This achievement is a testament to the dedication, resilience, and hard work of our entire team. Our staff and students have put in tremendous effort to reach this milestone, and we couldn't be prouder of the progress we've made together.
While this recognition is a moment to celebrate, we know the journey is far from over. There is still much work ahead, but we are more than ready for the challenge. With the continued support of our students, parents, and staff, we will keep striving for excellence and pushing the bar even higher.

On Saturday, April 26th, our Southview Family joined in the fun at the annual Tuscaloosa Mayor's Cup, hosted by Mayor Walter Maddox at the City of Tuscaloosa Government Plaza! It was a day packed with excitement as our community came together to support education. The Mayor's Cup isn't just about racing, it's a chance for all of us to have a blast while making a difference for our kids!
Our 3rd Annual Sneaker Ball was a huge success and we’re still smiling from all the fun, fashion, and unforgettable moments!
Students, families, and staff showed up in style, combining formal wear with their freshest sneakers. From the red carpet entrances to the packed dance floor, the night was filled with music, laughter, and community spirit.
A special thank you to everyone who helped bring this event to life, from the decorations to the DJ, and of course, everyone who showed up and showed out!
